Here's a completed Knitting Bag from the Bag Style KAL. Now I have yet another bag to keep knitting in - but this one is kind of cute and different - it can travel to a coffee shop with me.
Decided to line it this afternoon because it was too stretchy and I wanted it to be sturdy. Bill is thinking the flower on the front was unnecessary - he's probably right. The lining is bright enough.
I found some computer compatible fabric in my junk, so I printed off a fabric label so I won't forget I'm the one who made it. LOL

I will definitely make another one of these. I spent less than $2 on the yarn (I was at the right place at the right time) and the fabric was in my sewing cabinet just sitting there. When I do another one sometime, I'm thinking of painting the wooden needles, or just having plain dowels. Who knows! Tons of options and this was a lot of fun.

Your bag is gorgeous. I love it? I like the flower. The fabric is nice to. When you go to look for something in your bag you will be able to see. How long did it take you to knit the bag?
The bag looks great! I hope to see it in person soon.
I knitted this puppy up so sporatically this past week, I can't tell you how long really. I think the lining is a little dark, but this one is for me. Next one will be lighter for sure.
I absolutely love the label! That is how I'm going to have to try mine. How do you think it would hold up in the laundry? For baby blankets etc... The bag is so cute! I think painted dowels would be really a fun addition. They would bring in color and wouldn't look so dangerous! Love ya!
All the better to 'KNIT' you with, my dear! he he
I do love that bag. And you are right - many options. It could be knit in different patterns. I like how it looks, but don't really enjoy knitting that 'popcorn' pattern. Dowels would work well too. What fabric did you find that would go through your computer for the label?
For those who would like to know about fabric computer paper, my package is at least 4 years old and it's a June Tailor product called "Sew-In Colorfast Inkject Fabric Sheets", they are 8-1/2 X 11. Who knows, there may be many items on the market like this!
On a side note, Jane, I was glad to have been sitting in an armchair doing the popcorns because I needed that extra stability with my straight needles. Wouldn't it be great with one great big cable down the center?
The bag looks so awesome! I love the pink scarf as well. My grandmother died from breast cancer in October 9 years ago. Thanks for doing something for the cause.
The bag is just lovely -- that lining fabric is such a great counterpoint to the grey popcorn exterior! The flower is cute, and I think that having a little touch of colour there serves to unite the outside and inside elements. So, yes to the flower -- but maybe a bit smaller next time, or just a bit of yarn embroidery, perhaps with a few nice fat beads? Bags are just so much fun -- you're so right, all the possible options!
